Tired or Uninspired?

Updated: Oct 30, 2020

3 Easy Steps to Hit the Reset Button (and a Reset Smoothie)

So the weekend is here. You have a list of things you want to accomplish both for fun and on the 'honey-do' list, but it is now Sunday night and anxiety is loading up as it is back to work tomorrow, and nothing you wanted to complete was accomplished.

We load up all our excuses why we were unproductive in accomplishing our goals, at the top of the list is TIRED.

NEWS FLASH! YOU ARE NOT TIRED YOU ARE UNINSPIRED.

Look back at your list and ask yourself which of the 'to-do's make you want to jump out of bed in the morning? (physically write the list out now)

9 times out of 10, the answer to that question is NONE.

When we don't have anything that we are genuinely excited about, we feel tired. Tiredness then manifests into procrastination and procrastination steals time.

This week Eddie and I want to challenge you to do the following:

  1. Write down ONE thing that you want to accomplish that is not a chore but purely for enjoyment and fun

  2. Go to your calendar for next weekend and chose a date/time that you can do this

  3. Clear the clutter - make space for his activity to happen

RESULT: You will accomplish this, and ALSO succeed and completing everything else this weekend that you wanted to. How? Simple, because you created inspiration.

RESET BUTTON GREEN SMOOTHIE

  • 1 cup water or coconut water

  • 1 cup chopped cucumber

  • 2 cups packed stemmed kale and/or romaine lettuce

  • 3 cups packed baby spinach

  • 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves

  • 1 large ripe pear, cored and chopped

  • 1 1/2 large frozen banana chopped

  • 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks

  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice

  • 1/2 avocado (I add this if I am using smoothie as my meal)

  • ice if desired

Combine all the ingredients into your blender and turn onto high speed until smoothie.

(We recommend using a Vitamix blender) Add a bit more water if needed. (Makes 5 cups)

* We make this each day for the family - if you are single or a couple, adjust accordingly.
